What is included
Freight forwarding means we organise the international movement of your cargo end to end. We choose the carrier and route, book space, prepare transport documents, coordinate the pick-up and the port hand-over, and keep you updated until the cargo reaches the consignee.
- FCL sea freight — full 20′, 40′ and 40′ HC containers, including reefers and special equipment on request.
- LCL sea freight — consolidated shipments for cargo that doesn’t fill a container; you pay for the cubic metres you use.
- Air freight — for urgent, high-value or perishable cargo through Mumbai Air Cargo.
- Imports and exports — export from Maharashtra, and import into Maharashtra from any origin.
- Documentation — bill of lading or airway bill, cargo insurance, certificates of origin.
- Tracking — milestone updates on WhatsApp from booking to arrival.
Sea or air: choosing the right mode
Sea freight is the economical choice for most cargo; air freight wins when time matters more than cost. As a rule of thumb:
Choose FCL when…
Your cargo fills most of a 20′ container (roughly 25–28 CBM) or is heavy. You get a sealed box, fewer handling steps and a predictable cost per container.
Choose LCL when…
You’re shipping a few pallets. LCL is consolidated with other shippers’ cargo, so it costs less but takes a little longer because of consolidation and de-stuffing.
Choose air when…
Delivery dates are tight, cargo is valuable or perishable, or volumes are small. Air freight is charged on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is higher.
Ports and airports we use
- Nhava Sheva / JNPA (INNSA) — India’s busiest container port, the main gateway for Maharashtra’s sea freight.
- Mumbai Port (INBOM) — for break-bulk, project and selected container cargo.
- Mumbai Air Cargo Complex — international air freight for the whole state.
- Inland container depots — near Pune and Nagpur, so containers can be cleared and stuffed closer to your factory.
How a shipment runs with us
- Enquiry — share origin, destination, commodity, weight/volume, Incoterm and target date.
- Quote and booking — we compare carriers and confirm space and the vessel or flight.
- Pick-up and stuffing — container or truck reaches your factory; cargo is stuffed and sealed.
- Customs — we file the Shipping Bill or Bill of Entry and handle examination.
- On board — bill of lading or airway bill released; tracking until arrival.
- After shipment — RoDTEP, RoSCTL and drawback claimed where applicable.

Frequently asked questions
How much does sea freight from Nhava Sheva cost?
It depends on the destination, container type, carrier and season — freight rates change frequently. Send us your route and cargo details and we’ll quote current rates from several carriers, with local charges itemised.
Can you pick up cargo from my factory in Pune or elsewhere in Maharashtra?
Yes. We arrange container haulage or trucking from anywhere in Maharashtra to Nhava Sheva, Mumbai or the nearest ICD, timed to the vessel cut-off. See import export transportation.
Do you handle imports as well as exports?
Yes. For imports we coordinate with the overseas shipper or their forwarder, clear the cargo at the port and deliver it to your premises.
What is the difference between FCL and LCL?
FCL (full container load) means you book a whole container. LCL (less than container load) means your cargo shares a container with other shippers and you pay by volume. LCL suits smaller shipments; FCL is cheaper per unit for larger ones.
Which Incoterm should I use?
It depends on how much of the journey you want to control. FOB and CIF are common for exports from India; EXW and DAP are common for imports. We can explain the cost and risk of each for your shipment.
